SPRINGFIELD – While earlier this year Oprah called on women that have aborted their babies to "Shout Your Abortion!", the Springfield Right to Life group is calling on families in Illinois that have adopted children to respond with a resounding "Shout Your Adoption!" at a rally planned in Springfield January 27, 2019.
Liz Eilers Bron, the event co-ordinator, says Facebook rejected the group's paid promotion of the rally, citing the rally offending Facebook's "community standards."
"We will be honoring birth moms, adoptive parents and the adoptees," Eilers said. "So it will be a very fun rally!"
Springfield Right to Life hopes the event will pull in adoptive families from throughout the state, as well as those that celebrate life. "We would like to make this a state wide event and see everyone come together for this rally," Eilers said.
For people who have pro-life centered organizations, free tables will be made available to distribute information about their efforts. The rally will be located on the south end of the State Capitol rotunda where several pro-life legislators will be hosting a reception.
