WHEATON – The Blue Tsunami that hit Illinois in November 2018 swept Illinois' 6th CD far into deep Leftist political waters. Tuesday, the 6th's new representative to U.S. Congress publicly declared his support for transsexuals in the U.S. military and Illinois' expanding abortion policies.

"I stand with Planned Parenthood," Casten declared in a photo tweeted by Planned Parenthood. Later his own Tweet declared the U.S. Supreme Court taking a step backward.

Democrat Sean Casten shocked comfortable Republicans in DuPage County, when he handily ousted incumbent Republican conservative Peter Roskam – who succeeded conservative icon Henry Hyde representing the district.

Boasting the Left's stunning gains, Planned Parenthood of Illinois thanked Casten Tuesday for his support and attending their weekend celebration of the 1973 Roe vs Wade decision. Casten himself criticized the U.S. Supreme Courts decision to uphold President Trump's ban on transsexuals in the military.

Wheaton Illinois, once nicknamed "Evangelicals' Mecca" as home to the renowned Wheaton College where evangelist Billy Graham studied, is no longer conservative politically or religiously. The once-powerful DuPage County Republican organization lost State House and Senate representation in 2018, along with its place in the U.S. Congress.

Republicans state reps. David Olsen, Peter Breen, Senators Chris Nybo, Mike Connelly are no longer representing the area in the Illinois legislature. The DuPage County Board now has eight Democrats on its 18-member board, after having only one Democrat for years. DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin was challenged and nearly defeated by a Democrat.

In addition, the far western suburbs' adjoining IL Congressional District 14 is now represented by Democrat Lauren Underwood – who is portraying herself as a close colleague to the freshman New York Congress member Alexandira Ocasio-Cortez – a self-proclaimed socialist and influential Democrat.
