Yesterday, I called for the initiation of an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
I didn’t run for Congress to impeach the president. As an entrepreneur and scientist, I came to Congress with the goal of passing and advocating for policies to combat climate change and make a difference for my neighbors here in Illinois.
But I’ve read the Mueller report, multiple times, and the facts on the ground have brought me to a decision that I don’t take lightly.
The evidence is clear: Donald Trump, his legal counsel, and the Attorney General have refused to comply with oversight requests and subpoenas — preventing the American people from learning the truth.
