From Lauren –

Another kind of COVID-19 Hero Right Here in Gurnee IL …

Did you know there is another kind of hero out there right now? He is not on the front lines like our healthcare workers, first responders, grocery store staff, supply chain professionals, or truck drivers. But he is doing something behind the scenes of this pandemic that is incredible.

Just a week ago, Ryan was tapped to write the code for the software in a newly-designed portable ventilator that will be manufactured and distributed in LESS THAN 30 days, bypassing the typical years-long process for FDA approval. It will be the fraction of the cost of current ventilators and could save millions of lives.

He is working very long hours, with an inordinate number of meetings, constantly in communication with the design, engineering and leadership teams of this medical device company, tapping out his brain power for this project, and sacrificing time with his kids to get it done ✅

He’s put all of his own revenue-generating projects and clients aside to dedicate his time, talent, and treasure to a better, more affordable, mass-produced device that could change the survival rate of this virus, especially in underdeveloped countries.

He’s doing this from our home office in Gurnee, IL, running on caffeine and soy shakes and the occasional burnt meal I whip up 😂 with a dog under foot and a tinge of “dad guilt” tugging at his conscience 😣

He is not on social media, but please know that there are incredibly intelligent, hardworking, human-loving people out there that you don’t see who are working on this thing in ways you never imagined.

Whatever he can give, no questions asked, he’s giving it. He’s exhausted but intent on making this thing happen. Please join me in cheering on my partner and best friend as he helps to change our world and do his part! 🥳❤️#wereinthistogether
