As an Illinois business owner, I can tell you that safety is what Simplex System Controls Inc. values most when we create our custom industrial electric and pneumatic control panels. We take every precaution to ensure our employees are comfortable in the workplace, and we deliver only the highest-quality products to our customers. However, as I and every other business owner know, accidents can happen, no matter how careful we are.
While the focus of accidents is typically compensation, we need to shine a light on the process through which the case is handled and make sure we are ultimately solving the safety hazard. In my experience, most of these lawsuits are handled in a way that is anything but fair. The loopholes in Illinois laws allow these cases to be taken to court where things become overcomplicated and leaves no one satisfied. I believe these claims would be better handled through well-mediated arbitration, allowing for more time to focus on solving the issue.
