Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot casts her vote Monday for Biden/Harris
SPRINGFIELD – Monday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Senate President Don Harmon oversaw Illinois' official 20 votes in favor of former Vice President Joe Biden and US Senate Kamala Harris.
Each of Illinois' 18 congressional district electors and two at-large electors – Lightfoot and Harmon – supported the Biden/Harris ticket unanimously.
As Lightfoot announced her vote, she said she was proud to cast her vote for former Vice President Joe Biden and "my sister and friend Kamala Harris."
The official vote will be cast in D.C. on January 6, 2021.
