PEORIA – The Women’s Care Center of Peoria, a local pro-life pregnancy support center, lost everything in the early hours of Monday morning after a severe fire went through their facility and did an estimated $250,000 in damage. The fire has been ruled intentional.

According to reports, firefighters were called to 7319 N. University St. at about 2:40 Monday and found heavy fire coming from the windows in the front of the building. The blaze destroyed one large room, and the entire building sustained extensive heat and smoke damage.

The center’s priority is their clients and continuing all services.

"Our need is great, as 1 in 5 babies born in Peoria County get their start with Women’s Care Center," the Facebook post says.

For this to happen, they need help, the group says.

After losing all of their inventory, the center needs donations to immediately distribute as well as monetary donations for emergency expenses until insurance is settled.

An Amazon wishlist has been created with the basic items that the center needs right away. Item prices range from $10 to $50. Simply click the link below, buy any item or multiple items from the list through your Amazon account, it's automatically sent to the church where donations are being collected, and you don't even pay shipping. You can also purchase items from the store and drop the items off in person during office hours. Any donations small or great are appreciated.

Monetary donations can be made at the top link below or sent in the form of a check to:
