Lollapalooza photo goes viral as Illinois faces another governor-ordered COVID mask mandate

CHICAGO – Colin Hinkle lives on the 52nd floor of a building that faces Grant Park and directly over top of Lollapalooza, he told The Insider. That's how he got the incredible photo of thousands jam packed into the park over last weekend. The photo has gone viral, with over 25,000 Twitter "likes." 

Just as Governor Pritzker is reported to prepare a mask mandate on all children in Illinois' classrooms, both public and private. (In Illinois, home schools are considered to be private schools.)

As to the noticeable lack of COVID masks, the festival organizers required attendees to bring printed proof of their vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 test. Unvaccinated attendees were required to wear a mask during their time at the festival.
