SPRINGFIELD – News reports are showing an increase in COVID-19 outbreaks in Illinois schools being up to 81 as of Friday, but little attention is given to the 4169 schools throughout the state that are functioning as planned.

While nearly 60 school districts stated they would defy Governor Pritzker's mask mandate, many have changed course and chosen to follow the Governor's plan in order to be listed as a "recognized" school district and not endanger losing their state funding.
Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, IL lost its state recognition this week when they made their mask policy optional for students.
