By Randy Rossi –

The debate about the massive damage caused by Covid school shutdowns to our kids is over thanks to a new study released by the Department of Education on 9/1/2022. They have confirmed the damage done to our kids because of the Covid school shutdowns was massive. In that study, the D.O.E. found that reading and math scores for 9 year old kids dropped to the lowest level in over 30 years. Reading scores dropped 5 points from 2020 to 2022 which is the worst drop we have seen since 1990. Even worse, math scores dropped 7 points from 2020 to 2022 back to 1990 levels while our kids were kicked out of school for the tragic Covid school shutdowns. Math scores have never dropped before in US history!! And these are the averages. Minority children have seen an even steeper decline in reading and math scores.

Tragically, many experts say this generation of kids will not fully recover and this disaster could hurt them for the rest of their lives in their career opportunities and lifetime incomes. The bottom line is that these Covid school shutdowns were a disaster for our kids.

Even worse, we now know that those Covid school shutdowns were entirely unnecessary and therefore an incredible abuse of our children. Even the CDC now reports that only 1,241 American children 17 and under have died with Covid so far. That is 0.002% of the roughly 77 million school age kids. So we caused massive damage to 77 million kids because just 1,241 kids died with Covid. I underline with Covid because John Hopkins studied all 1,241 kids that died with Covid and found that 100% of them had life threatening conditions like Leukemia and cancer. Their conclusion is that not one healthy child died from Covid. The hard facts are there was no logical reason to cause this massive damage to our kids by shutting down our schools!!! The Great Barrington Declaration signed by over 14,000 scientists and 40,000 practicing doctors told us this almost 2 years ago. They said the world should use a “Focused” Covid strategy which means isolating older people while letting younger healthy people live their lives because their immune systems can successfully handle Covid. We now know that is true since over 75% of Americans who have died from Covid were 65 and over while not one healthy kid 17 and under died from Covid!. Incredibly, our government and the “Fake News” hid this truth from the American people.

This tragedy was totally avoidable. Sadly we let politics, government control, and the “Fake News” rule over real science and logic. As a result, 77 million US students will pay a high price for the rest of their lives. We can never let this happen again.
