Who is Charlie Kim?

Charlie Kim came to the U.S. as an immigrant from South Korea to live the American Dream at the age of 6. He came to Illinois in the 1970s, which was a difficult time for oriental people during the Vietnamese War. After the failure of business ventures, he was separated from his father and slept in the apartments that he was cleaning with his mother for about 3 years. At the age of 14, he went to Downers Grove North High School, IL, then to Northern Illinois University to study international politics and law while participating in the chess club, choir, football, tennis, and volleyball. Next, he worked in the Federal court system and American Express Insurance and Financial Services, which led to college scholarships, to earn graduate degrees (DSL/PhD) in business management, international economics and law at Harvard University, Regent University, and Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea).

Experience

His professional experiences are legal aid services (California and Illinois), federal courts (U.S. courts), International and military security (U.S. Naval PostgraduateSchool and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)/EuroAsia Security Forces), U.S. Congress advisory (co-chair of business and economic council), international corporate and non-profit organization leadership (top international companies).

Charlie Kim has made significant contributions to our country, such as the First U.S. Department of State FSP Ambassador (Pro-Temp) and as a former U.S. Fulbright Specialist. He is also the Founder and Advisory Board Executive of CG Worldwide companies with a notable presence in multiple countries and served with members of former presidents George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, former U.S. State Secretary Colin Powell, and Susan Eisenhower (many governmental associations and relative of former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower).

Commitment to Service

Charlie Kim’s dedication to public service includes the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award Program, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (Goodwill Ambassador), Illinois Legal Aid Services, and Republican Party Township Committee, demonstrating his commitment to serving his community and country.

Vision for America

Charlie Kim envisions an America where traditional rights of liberty and opportunity are protected as established by the Founding Fathers of America, where the constitutional principles of freedom and equality are upheld, advocating for less government interference, supporting small businesses, enforcing immigration laws, enhancing education opportunities, and ensuring fair treatment for all Americans.

Key Issues for U.S. Congress

1) Building an Economy and Promoting Opportunity for Businesses and Workers: Prioritizing American First to serve the U.S. businesses and benefit American workers, reducing taxes, and minimizing government interference to foster prosperity.

2) Border Security and Law Enforcement: Combating illegal immigration, enforcing immigration laws to secure the U.S. border, and supporting legal immigration processes with sponsorships and VISAs.

3) Pro-Parent Choice: Empowering parents and students to choose their schools, supporting teachers with resources, and enhancing school security for safe educational environment.

4) Term Limits of Government Officials: Limiting the re-election process to prevent corruption and unqualified politicians that serve their self interest instead of the people, the People First.
