Rauner’s efforts to reform budget criticized in new video ad

CHICAGO – There's a movement on Twitter that calls for Illinois to #RecallRauner. It follows a failed 2015 effort to #ImpeachRauner. 

The Illinois amendment requires that a recall petition be signed by a number of voters equal to at least 15 percent of the votes cast for governor in the last gubernatorial election, with at least 100 signatures from each of at least 25 separate counties.

The online petitions may indicate government workers and SEIU workers' frustrations, but they're not legally-binding to be a part of an official recall drive.

  1. Hey you communism supporting union leaders…. balancing the budget is the LAW! Educate yourself and read the Illinois constitution sometime, rule of law isn’t optional. Only organized crime votes to ignore the people and bury the state in debt. You selfish bloodsuckers better realize we will never support another tax increase, we won’t be a slaves to despotism and greed.
