CLEVELAND – The convention credentials for an Illinois Republican were taken away Wednesday when under the surname of "whitepride" 5th CD Trump delegate Lori Gayne under a Facebook photo wrote:

“Our brave snipers just waiting for some “N—- to try something. Love them.”

The comment – using the abbreviation for a racial slur – was posted over a photo of snipers standing on the roof of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum where a Republican National Convention welcome party was held Sunday night.

Illinois Republican Party chairman Tim Schneider reacted sternly:

I condemn in the strongest terms the racist comments and threats of violence made by Ms. Gayne, a member of our delegation to the Republican National Convention. Ms. Gayne brought the statements to the attention of Illinois Republican Party staff after being contacted by Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times,.

Let me be unequivocally clear — racism and threats of violence have absolutely no place in the Illinois Republican Party or in a civil and inclusive society.

The Illinois Republican Party believes that inciting violence against anyone attending the RNC places state delegations, demonstrators exercising their First Amendment rights, and law enforcement personnel needlessly in harm’s way. Therefore, I have consulted with the Executive Committee of the Illinois Republican Party and have revoked Ms. Gayne’s credentials as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.

Gayne was one of three delegates for Trump that won in the March GOP primary. She beat out DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin by .1 percent of the vote. Cronin ran as a delegate for Ohio Governor John Kasich.

  1. This insane acceptance of a man who actually has a terrible record for bankruptsies and failed businesses reminds me of the rise to power of Adolf Hitler. Hitler was voted into office and yet he was outlandish and wild enough to get everything he wanted. He basically hypnotized his followers to chant and follow his every lead, yet they know nothing about what he will do for the country and how he will do it. BEWARE!

  2. On one level, it is a reflection of how poorly organized Trump’s Illinois operation was. Not surprisingly, the original Illinois campaign director (Kent Gray) was fired.
Trump did not have the luxury of getting elected officials on his delegate and alternate petitions in each Congressional District. Somebody failed to vet Lori Gayne before she was slated.

  3. Bankruptcy isn’t a crime or immoral. It merely shows he was out there working to succeed. When in the real estate business, you are at the mercy of the economy and real estate market that wrongheaded govt polices influence. Trump is a billionaire and successful, yet you ridicule him.
Your foolish comparison of Trump to Hitler shows your ignorance about Hitler and Nazi Germany.
Trump supporters know what he will do for the country, he will put America and Americans first!
Socialist Obama’s rise to power is Hitler-like, as Hitler’s Nazi Germany was first socialist, before it morphed to a fascist police state.

  4. “….how poorly organized ….”
    Agreed.
    And yet Trump won Illinois.
    And it wasn’t close.
And yet Starkehaus, DiLeo, & other Cruz babies refuse to recognize.
Says so, so much more about Cruz babies than it does about an operation, poorly organized or not.

  5. Hitler wasn’t voted in to power. He finished behind Hindenburg in 1932. They powers that be though made him Chancellor(#2) in order to put together a governing coalition in the Reichstag. Hindenburg died in 1934 and by force and treachery ( The Night of the Long Knives) along with the backing of the Wehrmacht, Hitler became Der Fuhrer. So at least let’s be clear about what actually happened before making Hitler references.

  6. Keane Wolfe you presume Donald is a billionaire, if so why has he released his tax returns ,I would suggest Donald isn’t as near as wealthy as he portrays his self to be ,the petty fraudulent cases against would tell you that much

  7. I met with my Illinois State Senator yesterday evening.
He says the Illinois GOP STILL hasn’t decided which candidates running for Illinois House of Representative or State Senate they will help with funds, even at this late date.
Yes, the Illinois GOP really IS “a mess.”

  8. I was unaware that Adolph Hitler was an unsuccessful businessman? Are you aware that bankruptcy is actually a right specified in the Constitution? I do know that President Obama was “outlandish and wild enough” to get a considerable amount of his agenda passed by Congress. I also remember a chant that went something like “Hope and Change” that hypnotized followers to chant and follow his every lead.
