LAKE VILLA – Illinois' property taxes are some of the worst in the nation. Homeowners are being forced to look elsewhere to keep financially afloat.
Still, Illinois lawmakers – both Republican and Democrat – are toying with the idea of hiking income taxes after the November election, saying the problem is that the state needs more revenue. How much will finally be enough?
