ICE to Pursue Federal Charges After Bolingbrook Police Fail to Arrest Attackers—Officials Now Under Investigation for Stand-Down Order

By Howard Foster -

The pathetic cycle of slow death goes on and on. More bombings by another Muslim radical legally admitted to this country in the name of “diversity.” Just think about what we have endured in the last 15 years because our leaders have silently decreed we shall become more diverse.

We are endlessly told that we must have a “diverse” society which includes porous borders, liberally issued visas which can be overstayed without consequence, and hundreds of thousands of foreign students, partially responsible for sky high tuitions in higher education. Diversity advocates tell us they add  “vitality” to American life.

Follow up and try to define that “vitality” and they will, one way or another, settle on two things: cheap labor and ethnic dining. As for the first, it is true, porous borders have saturated the low-end labor market with foreigners looking for jobs Americans used to do – at lower wages. That has benefited the elites at the expense of everyone else. And I’ll leave it to you to decide how much you value ethnic restaurants. I think Devon Avenue in Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago and most of Miami look and feel like the third world. I avoid them at all costs.

There are always immigrant success stories like Sergey Brin of Google.  But can anyone really argue Google would not have been founded if he had not moved to this country?  He would have excelled in another western culture and found his way into a tech start up. His Google counterparts would have found the human capital to start the company from someone else, or from Brin, via the internet. In a high tech world, why do we need more foreigners living here?  They can live anywhere and work for American companies.

We have a Muslim bombing in this country on average every 90 days, in New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, Orlando, San Bernadino, Boston, and on and on.  And after each one we are told that diversity continues to be the great national goal. “We cannot let this bombing in [insert the city] divert us from our tolerance toward Muslims, immigrants, refugees.” Why not?  Have any of these sanctimonious elites actually performed a cost-benefit analysis on the waves of immigration over the last few decades?

If they had, they do not cite it in their lectures.  Such studies have been done repeatedly and find the net cost of third world immigration far exceeds the gains to the economy.  And even if it didn’t, we should still question the diversity myth.  Anyone who understands immigration will realize it is assimilation into American culture, not “diversity” that makes the enterprise successful.   Since we have stopped demanding assimilation, and now encourage multiculturalism, we are far weaker as a society.

Donald Trump, in his crude way, has torn the mask off the diversity myth, and for that he has won my vote and most of the non-diverse segments of the country. There are still quite a few of us  that choose to pay a few dollars more for our vegetables so that what’s left of this country won’t  look like Devon Avenue.
