NEW YORK – When interim Democratic National Convention's interim chair Donna Brazile was caught passing along a debate question to Hillary Clinton's campaign, she responded with outrage when Fox News' Megyn Kelly asked her about the allegation.

Brazile, who at the time was a CNN contributor, spouted her familiarity with Christian persecution for being asking about the information handoff. But perhaps more than righteous indignation, Brazile's angry response stemmed from being caught – as she has been once again.

"As a Christian woman, I understand persecution," Brazile told Kelly. "Your information is false. What you're — well, for suggestive e-mails were stolen. You're interested and you're like a thief that wants to bring into the night the things that."

Monday, an email discovered by Wikileaks from Brazile to Clinton campaign manager John Podesta and Jennifer Palmieri on March 5 suggests Brazile leaked questions at least twice – once about Clinton's views on the death penalty and a second about Flint's lead poisoning crisis.

From the March 5th email:

Indeed, the question Brazile tipped off was asked. HotAir reports:

The next day, at a CNN town hall event in Flint featuring Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, Hillary was asked a question by Lee-Anne Walters. No mention was made of a rash but moderator Anderson Cooper did say that “one of her twin boys stopped growing. Her daughter lost her hair.” Walters asked, “After my family, the city of Flint and the children in D.C. were poisoned by lead, will you make a personal promise to me right now that as president in your first 100 days in office, you will make it a requirement that all public water systems must remove all lead service lines throughout the entire United States and notification made to the citizens that have said service lines?”

Monday, The Hill found that CNN quietly cut ties with Brazile on October 15, and is somewhat defensive about the newest information:

"On October 14th, CNN accepted Donna Brazile’s resignation as a CNN contributor," the network said in a statement.

"CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate," the statement continued.  "We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor."

Calls for Brazile to step out of her interim position – into which she stepped when Donna Wasserman-Schultz was forced to resign when Wikileaks revealed her involvement in the DNC siding with Clinton as the party's 2016 presidential nominee.

Author Brad Thor tweeted Monday afternoon:

Not only did Brazile attempt to help @HillaryClinton cheat, Hillary accepted the help and cheated. Hillary should be forced to address …
