Babette Holder (center with sign) amidst national conservative black women leaders

WHEATON – February is Black History Month, and what better way to start celebrating it than by introducing Illinois conservatives to one of the state movement's most energetic and positive black conservative women?

Meet Babette Holder, the opposite of her distant cousin former Attorney General Eric Holder, who is an outspoken black conservative leader in Illinois. She serves on the Frederick Douglass Foundation and consults candidates, businesses and organizations with her vast knowledge of social media.

Babette is one of the co-founders of “TheLastCivilRight.org”, a group of Christian-conservative women that are political commentators and advocates for the principles of limited government, individual freedom, and free market.

Rarely missing an opportunity to encourage other conservatives, Babette has appeared on numerous local and national radio shows and at press conferences with national black champions such as prolife leader Star Parker, declaring her heartfelt notion that "Black Women Matter."

Babette, the mother of two teenage daughters, is active in local Republican politics as a precinct committeewoman in Milton Township of DuPage County and often spotted at Tea Party events.

Find her on Facebook at Babette Holder and on Twitter @Bhold226

  1. Babette Holder is an inspiration to so many people across the nation. I don’t know where she gets all the energy. She is everywhere, fighting for freedom, especially for the unborn and the most vulnerable. It’s such a shame that the Illinios GOP doesn’t seem to realize they have this gem right in their own backyard. Babette would be a powerful spokeswoman for them. I’m so blessed to be her friend.

  2. Babette is doing a great job primoting the conservative message.
In case you missed it, rebroadcast podcast this past Sunday of the Stephanie W. Trussell Show heard Sunday nights at 9pm-midnight on WLS 890-AM that featured special guest hosts Babette Holder, Carol Davis, Raquel Melanie, Jan Shaw, & me. Part of that show can be found on Facebook Live on Babette Holder’s Facebook page.

  3. I am honored to say that I have stood shoulder to shoulder with this Warrior for the Unborn, as we, and many others, marched, in June 2015, across the James Pettus Bridge to bring to light the atrocities that illegal abortionist Samuel Lett was inflicting upon the women in the area.
As the most recent addition to the ladies of The Last Civil Right, it is an honor to work with her to bring to light much of the hidden history of America where Christian, Black Conservatives have been part of the bedrock of this Nation, issues regarding Life [from Birth to Natural Death], as well as the work we’ve done regarding public policy and a Biblical Worldview, are concerned. Babette is my mentor in this work, and I avail myself of her considerable Wisdom and plethora of experience at every opportunity.
The best thing is, with all of that Power she holds, she is a genuine and true friend, whom you want to have in your corner.
Congratulations Babette on all that you’ve done! I can hardly wait to see what you are preparing for next!!
    G-d Bless!!

  4. Thank you for recognizing g Babette. I have followed Gert on FaceBook for almost two years now, and she is a breath of fresh air, and as font of knowledge. Her dedication to ProLife issues, her Faith, her patriotism, and wisdom are all there for the World to see.
I am living in Florida, a transplanted New Yorker, and Babette’s posts are universal.
Chicago is very lucky to have her as a citizen.
During those last two excruciating Yeats, Babette was able to explain things to me about the last Administration, that made sense.
One thing that always irritated me was being a addressed as “Folks” by the previous President. But, Babette said that was fairly natural as it is a Chicago thing. So, it was one less thing to be annoyed by ????
I think Babette deserves National attention, but this is a nice start.
So, congratulations, Babette, you deserve this, and more
