This past Wednesday was Flag Day along with President Donald Trump's 71st birthday. The Northwest Side GOP Club in Chicago held a birthday party at Revel Tavern on Northwest Highway. Republican Committeeman Matt Podgorski organized the event with over 200 in attendance. It featured Todd and the Ten Pins Band, a raffle, free hot dogs, and a huge Trump birthday cake.
Earlier in the day, numerous "Flag Waves" took place all over the country. Multiple patriotic grassroots groups held up American Flags on highway overpasses. I stopped by the overpass on the Edens Expressway at Pratt Street in Chicago to support the group.
The Northwest Side GOP is having a book club on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 6122 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL. They will be discussing the Dale Carnegie book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People." They also plan to march in parades this July 4, 2017.
