IL Senate Overrides Rauner Veto – makes right-to-work ordinance a misdemeanor

With no debate, the Illinois Senate today voted to make enacting right-to-work ordinances on a local level a class A misdemeanor. They would put elected officials behind bars before allowing right-to-work in Illinois.

  1. There was a time when unions were needed to protected the workers from the Big-Bad-Company-Boss. Now who protects the workers from the Big-Bad-Union-Boss?
    Should workers be force to pay union dues, and strike when told to, when they disagree with how the money is being spent or with the need to strike?
