Governor Bruce Rauner appeared on Fox & Friends Monday morning with the hope of appealing to conservatives nationwide as a corruption fighter and swamp destroyer. "You seem to be the only man that agrees with you," co-host Brian Kilmeade says.
However, Rauner's polling numbers are just slightly worse than President Trump's in Illinois, according to the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute's latest disapproval ratings:
Republican President Donald Trump: 62 percent disapproval in Illinois
Republican Governor Rauner: 63 percent
Democrat Speaker Mike Madigan: 68 percent
