WASHINGTON DC – The news site Project Veritas released an explosive video Wednesday morning featuring the Google employee that revealed how Google had been manipulating its worldwide platform against conservatives.
The eight-year Google senior software engineer, Zachary Vorhies, stepped out of the shadows because his lawyers suggested Google's reaction would be serious. "This is your first step to having your life ruined …" Vorhies' lawyers told him.
Soon after admitting to Google he had accumulated a vast array of insider company documents and had shared many of them with persons in the media – specifically James O'Keefe of Project Veritas – Vorhies said he stayed out of the limelight after an anonymous person "outted" him on Twitter.
Soon after, Google contacted the local police and asked for a "mental health wellness check" on Vorhies – presumedly to use the concern to bolster the perception that Vorhies was mentally unhealthy.
In the meantime, the engineer – making $260,000 annually – told O'Keefe in the video released Wednesday that he felt coming out in the open "lifted a burden from his soul."
O'Keefe's website has released an array of Google documents for public scouring. One of the documents that drew attention in particular was which news sources Google deemed in need of exclusion from their "Google Now" stories.
