COLORADO – Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was spotted working out at the federal prison from which he's hoping to be released soon – and Reuters posted the video online. The video shows the governor fairly buff and with lots of his trademark hair – except it is silver, not dark brown as it was seven years ago.
The Blagojevich's have been trying every possible way to persuade President Trump to commute his 14 year prison for conspiring to commit fraud on the public when he discussed a plan to get money from potentials to replace former U.S. Senator Barack Obama when he was elected US president in 2008.
The IL GOP Chairman expressed outrage that the fallen governor's sentence could be shortened.
“In a state where corrupt, machine-style politics is still all too common, it’s important that those found guilty serve their prison sentence in its entirety," Tim Schneider said. "Rod Blagojevich is certainly no exception. The former Governor’s proven record of corruption is a stain upon Illinois and its citizens. We must stand up and send the message that corruption will not be tolerated in Illinois.”
