Fired Johnson Aide Alleges Anti-Police ‘Hostility,’ Says Chicago Mayor Had to Be Pushed to Visit Injured Officers

Late Friday night, it was revealed that yet another Democrat connected to Speaker Madigan is under investigation. Similar to former top Madigan aides, Kevin Quinn and Tim Mapes, allegations center on sexual misconduct and harassment.

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: State police investigate sexual misconduct allegations against ex-state rep, execute search warrant at Madigan’s Capitol offices
"Illinois State Police recently executed a search warrant at Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan’s Capitol offices as part of a sexual misconduct and stalking investigation of Jack Franks, a former state representative who now serves as McHenry County Board chairman, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.”

DAILY HERALD: State police investigate sexual misconduct allegations against Franks
“The search warrant — obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times via a Freedom of Information Act request — says the state police justified the search because "probable cause exists for the crimes of criminal sexual abuse, criminal sexual assault, official misconduct, stalking and aggravated battery."

CHICAGO TRIBUNE: Former Illinois state representative accused of sexual harassment; state police execute search warrant at House speaker’s Capitol office
“Madigan’s office has been under scrutiny stemming from #MeToo related scandals at the Capitol, and the speaker has split with several aides and longtime allies as a result. Madigan also has admitted he failed to do enough to address the culture of sexual harassment at the Capitol.”

For immediate release – Skillicorn

"Reform minded individuals have to take pause after hearing about the raid of Speaker Michael Madigan's office concerning the alleged sexual misconduct and stalking from McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks. Illinois has seen #MeToo scandal after scandal in the past year. This particular case dates back to November 19th, 2018 when the Speakers office first became aware of the allegation.

More details will be exposed but the Illinois State Police does not raid the Speaker of the House's office without significant probable cause. Considering the pattern of abusive behavior, corruption cases that have tainted his caucus for decades, and now these allegations it is perfectly clear that Illinois and McHenry County need the immediate resignation of both Speaker Michael Madigan and McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks. To move forward and do the business of serving the people of Illinois we need this distraction removed.

There is a culture of corruption in Illinois government and every incident has Speaker Madigan's finger prints on it. This corruption weighs on our schools, job climate, and the taxes we pay. This 'corruption tax' is a burden we can no longer afford to pay!"

Below is a statement from Jim Oberweis on the recent news concerning Jack Franks.

McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks needs to step down immediately.  The allegations made in the recent Sun Times article are reprehensible and are inexcusable.   It appears as though Mr. Franks and House Speaker Michael Madigan were complicit in a coverup to protect their power, while further damaging the ability of women to come forward to bring to light the abuses suffered at the hands of those who were elected to represent and protect all of our families.  My sympathies go out to the victims of his alleged terrible behavior.”
