For those of us that took and passed our high school civics courses, it is absolutely amazing to watch Democrats in the House, Senate, and media attack our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the rule of law as they try to unconstitutionally impeach a duly elected president.
In America, our Constitution says that every American is innocent until proven guilty. Except President Trump who Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says will be impeached forever. No Nancy, if he is acquitted, he will be innocent forever! According to our Constitution, every American has the right to face their accuser. Except President Trump who Democrats would not allow to face the “Whistle Blower” who worked with Democrats to launch this impeachment “charade”. Every American has the right when accused to cross examine witnesses and call defensive witnesses. Except President Trump who House Democrats would not allow to cross examine witnesses or provide defensive witnesses. That is not only unconstitutional, it is unfair and reprehensible.
Under the rule of law, fact based witnesses matter, not opinion witnesses. Democrats had not one fact based witness against President Trump that could prove that he did anything wrong. The only two fact based witnesses proved that President Trump did absolutely nothing wrong. Yet House Democrats never mentioned that exculpatory testimony in their presentation to the Senate.
Under our Constitution, every president has executive privilege which is a key to the separation of power our Founding Fathers felt was critical for democracy. Every president since George Washington has used that executive privilege to protect the office of the president. When there are disagreements on that executive privilege, the House is required to go to the Supreme Court to judge on the issue. But the House wants to impeach President Trump for using that Constitutional executive privilege and they refused to follow the Constitution and go to the Supreme Court for a decision as required. That is an abuse of power by the House and puts our democracy at great risk if allowed to stand.
President Trump withheld American aid from many corrupt countries to protect U.S. tax payer dollars including Ukraine. That’s his job and responsibility. Britain and the UN did exactly the same thing to Ukraine. But in the end, President Trump released the money to Ukraine within the deadline passed by Congress without Ukraine doing an investigation regarding Democrat VP Biden’s obvious abuse of $1 billion of U.S tax dollars to benefit his son. What makes the Democrat’s charges even more bizarre is the fact that while President Obama never gave Ukraine one lethal weapon to defend itself against Russia, President Trump gave Ukraine hundreds of millions of dollars of military and lethal aid to Ukraine starting from his first year in office right up until today. And the most important weapon, Javelin anti-tank missiles, was never delayed by President Trump to Ukraine while President Obama never gave Ukraine even one Javelin missile.
Besides providing the best economy and lowest unemployment for Americans in decades, President Trump protected tax payer money, our Constitution, and America. This election will be a test of America’s Constitutional IQ. If they care about our Constitution, the rule of law, and fairness; they will reelect a President that has protected America and provided the best economy we have seen in decades and has made America great again. And they will vote out those Democrats that abused their power and unconstitutionally tried to impeach a duly elected president.
