McCook – Cook County Commissioner Jeff Tobolski, a Democrat, resigned from his county board post Friday, amidst a federal probe into what is assumed the Mayor of McCook Illinois' political dealings.
Recently, Tobolski's chief of staff Patrick Doherty of Palos Heights IL was indicted in the ongoing red light camera scheme.
Better Government Association revealed a few weeks ago a story about a McCook area manufacturers that went public with the pressure Tobolski placed on him for campaign donations in return for assistance to get a tax break for his company.
