SPRINGFIELD – Money is not supposed to be able to buy happiness, but money sure can buy a lawmakers' attention and his or her willingness to take lots of heat from angry and frustrated parents – as in the case of Illinois lawmakers State Rep. Robyn Gabel (D-Evanston) and state Senator Heather Steans (D-Chicago).
Neither Rep. Gabel nor Senator Steans faced primary opponents in March and currently, neither of them face Republican opponents in the upcoming November 2020 election.
