A Family Parade at Harvard Milk Days Should Stay Family Friendly

As a Puerto Rican Latina, raised in the city of Chicago, I am horrified by how Joe Biden and the radical Democrats use their platform. Instead of continuously shaming the President, they should be  more focused on the dangerous criminals who brutally slaughter single mothers and their children

Why are Democrat politicians so quick to smear the President but so silent when it comes to fixing our crime-ridden neighborhoods?

Could it be that these cities in blue states are beholden to funding from organizations like ACT BLUE, which campaign to defund the police? Although Biden has not openly embraced the calls to defund the police, his campaign has received nearly $120 million from this radical group since late May.

Taking away the people’s only source of protection is evil and reckless — who leaves women and children to fend for themselves?

Regardless of your political beliefs, we are Americans first and foremost. American cities are burning in front of our eyes and the Democrats want to Defund The Police? Clearly these entitled politicians have gone too far. The lives that have been taken in Chicago from gang violence is nearing 500 as of today, including nine children under the age of 18 years old.

These useless politicians have lived off the sacrifice and suffering of the American people, and this trend needs to stop.

Where is the public outcry from Obama, who is a Chicago native? He should be at the forefront of this issue, especially when the Democrat party prides itself on being a voice for the voiceless.

Growing up in the ghetto wasn’t easy for my family. My single-mother had zero education and four small children managed to get ahead even with a father who was incarcerated for 21 years. My very brave mother wanted good schools and safe neighborhoods.

Our mother instilled in us from a very young age that police officers were the brave men and women in blue uniforms that made sure we were safe. We didn’t care about the color of their skin — they protected us.

Mayor Lightfoot, releasing the evil of lawlessness upon your people is beyond despicable. Allowing for the Magnificent Mile to be turned into the Green Mile of Death for 6 hours before finally sending in 400 police officers to tame 4,000 violent delinquents was equally outrageous.  Just like the Democrats who support the riots across America, you are a hypocritical politician who does not represent his constituents.
