Pritzker’s Tax Grab: Families Face Massive Hikes on Haircuts, Oil Changes, and More!

By Randy Rossi -

I think virtually every American agrees that those millions of Americans who have lost their jobs and/or businesses and have been seriously hurt by the massive Covid 19 shutdowns should get some temporary relief from the U.S. government until our economy gets back to normal and people can go back to work. And there should be some relief for the tens if not hundreds of thousands of businesses who are at the edge of bankruptcy because of those shutdowns to keep as many jobs open as possible. Republicans have been promoting this and made multiple offers to do just that but Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi had resisted that since June. She openly admitted that she resisted reaching agreement on that Covid relief because she wanted to cause pain to Americans which she thought would hurt Republican President Trump’s chances of winning. Think about that, Democrat Pelosi admitted she was willing to cause massive pain for millions of Americans in order to defeat President Trump!

Now that President Trump appears to have been defeated by Democrat Biden (it’s not quite over yet!), Democrats and Republicans have finally reached a compromise and voted to approve a Covid Relief Bill that will cost $900 billion and bring help to Americans that are really hurting. At face value, that sounds like a very good idea since so many Americans are hurting from Covid 19 right? Actually if you know the real facts, this rotten deal is a massive rip-off that uses the pain of Covid 19 to do the normal political con game of using pain to throw billions of dollars at political “pet projects” bought and paid for by the corrupt cesspool of DC. Of the $900 billion that will be spent on this “Covid Relief Bill”, only $200 billion or 22% will go to Americans who are actually suffering from the Covid 19 shutdowns. The rest will go to people with powerful connections to our corrupt politicians that rule DC. Why isn’t that on the frontpage news so every American would know that? Well first this “Covid Relief Bill” is 5,900 pages long and our politicians and the American people just have about 24 hours to read it. Seriously! Second because there is so much pain in America, our corrupt politicians know that all suffering Americans care about is getting some help and aren’t interested in the details as long as they get that help. As Democrat Rahm Emanuel famously said, “Never let a crisis go to waste” and the Covid 19 crisis is the perfect cover for fiscal political waste and abuse.

Well if only 22% of that money is going to Covid 19 relief for Americans, what is the rest of the $700 billion being spent on? First, billions of dollars are being sent to foreign countries. The most obnoxious one for me is the $453 million being sent to Ukraine, you know the same country that paid Biden’s son millions of dollars. Think there is a connection? Then there is the $1.4 billion being sent to “Asia Resurgence Act”, $1.3 billion being sent to Egypt, the $700 million being sent to Sudan, $135 million to Burma, $130 million to Nepal, and $85 million sent to Cambodia. Another crazy one is sending our enemy Venezuela $33 million. Given the fact that America has a debt that now is $26.9 Trillion, shouldn’t American citizens have something to say about this? Every new baby born in America has $70,000 of debt on their shoulders the day they are born! And our politicians are using the cover of massive American Covid 19 suffering to ram even more debt down our throats! Yet our politicians just have 24 hours to debate this massive spending bill.

If all that is not enough, this “Covid Relief Bill” includes $35 billion for climate change. Shouldn’t this be debated instead of hidden in a 5,900 page document that our politicians and Americans only have about 24 hours to read. Sound reasonable to you? Even if you favor climate change investments, shouldn’t you have the right to know how your tax dollars are being spent? Think of the hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars that have been wasted on failed climate change projects. And then there are the usual “Cool” government waste projects. Instead of giving millions of hurting Americans more than $600 each under this Covid deal, it gives the Smithsonian Museum $1 billion, the National Foundation of Arts $167 million, the Kennedy Center $26 million, and the Woodrow Wilson Center $14 million. What does all that have to do with Covid 19 while millions of Americans are suffering?

This is a classic example of why our government is out of control and why we have a $26.9 Trillion debt that could put us into the 2nd Great Depression. D.C. politicians use emotion, pain, and blind ignorance to pass stupendous spending bills that will ruin our kid’s futures. Instead of helping make our country stronger and helping Americans who are really hurting, our corrupt politicians pass massive spending bills sponsored by crooked lobbyists that pay them through campaign donations to do so. And by the way, if that $900 billion was just spent on Covid 19 relief for Americans, instead of getting just $600 for Covid relief, every American could get well over $2,500 to help them get through this Covid crisis!
