(The Center Square) – Parents across Illinois are sending their kids to school. Some kids are being suspended for not wearing masks.

The school year has started in some districts and schools are requiring masks, per Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s recent order. He said Tuesday the mask mandate is temporary, but necessary with rising COVID-19 case rates.

“This is a vital part of keeping people safe and healthy across the state,” Pritzker said.

For Marlena and Ben McCoy in Marion, they had their children politely refuse to wear masks Monday, saying it’s not healthy for them to breathe their own air for eight hours a day.

  1. Now it’s time for the parents to demand either school vouchers or the return of their tax money, so the kids can get a GOOD education (not an “indoctrination) in a PRIVATE SCHOOL of the parents’ choice.
As he school has chosen to DENY their kids an education for a personal-choice health reason, having nothing to do with discipline, it’s time for a law suit as well.
