Late on Thursday, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris abruptly canceled their holiday travel plans as the frail president was seen returning to the White House after dark aboard Marine One from Delaware where he was planning to hunker down until after the holidays.

On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal published an explosive story that detailed a four-year coverup by the White House to hide the president’s deteriorating mental health condition and how top aides protected the ailing president from the public, his staff and even the cabinet.

The White House hired a vocal coach to assist with his diminishing voice, sent surrogates to meetings that he should have been attending and canceled Oval Office meetings at the last minute when he wasn’t feeling well. Aides even instructed him on simple details like where to stand, where to look, how to get on and off stage and included note cards with pictures so he wouldn’t forget places or names. Press aides were even told to leave out negative press clippings seen by the president to further shield him from reality.

On Thursday, Vice President Harris was scheduled to depart for Los Angeles aboard Air Force Two – where she would be spending the Christmas holiday – but a few hours before departure, her office changed the itinerary with no explanation and said that she would remain in Washington instead. Biden, who was expected to spend the holidays at his home in Delaware, quickly returned to Washington without explanation – arriving on the south lawn under the cover of darkness.

While a government shutdown looms over the Capitol – these legislative battles are nothing new and wouldn’t force both the president and vice president to cancel their holiday plans altogether and remain at their official residences without any explanation.

With the Middle East on the verge of World War III, and the thought of a mentally incapacitated man in control of the nuclear codes – a 25th Amendment discussion seems completely plausible. Especially after cabinet members just recently learned that even top White House aides hid the president’s deteriorating mental health condition from them as well.

In 1988, Biden – then a U.S. Senator, suffered two brain aneurysms that required life-saving surgery. Many health experts and physicians, including U.S. Rep. Jackson believes that as a result, Biden suffers from long term damage.

In recent videos, Biden’s deterioration has been on full display as he appears confused and frail. In one recent gathering with African leaders – he appeared to be falling asleep in the middle of the meeting in front of a bank of television cameras. And after a speech in the Amazon Rainforest, he appeared to wander off into the Amazon in a bizarre video that made its rounds around the globe.

With just a month before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, the Democratic Party remains in turmoil over the election loss and what to do about a president who remains incapable of carrying out his duties as Commander-in-Chief and leader of the free world.
