On Wednesday, the U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released its final report after a 2-year investigation that confirmed what many Americans have been saying along – the vaccine did not stop the spread or transmission of the disease, mask mandates were implemented without any scientific data – and lockdowns – especially school closures – caused “immeasurable harm” to children and adults.

The report also found that many decisions by government officials that included social distancing guidelines were not based on science – as former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci testified that the guidance “sort of just appeared.” Widespread abuse of power by government officials, including Fauci was also identified in the findings. Officials also purposely ignored the effectiveness of natural immunity.

Regarding school closures specifically, the report stated, “The ‘science’ never justified prolonged school closures. Children were unlikely to contribute to the spread of COVID-19 or suffer severe illness or mortality. Instead, as a result of school closures, children experienced historic learning loss, higher rates of psychological distress, and decreased physical well-being.” And suicide attempts among girls ages 12-17 “skyrocketed” to 51 percent.

Widespread cases of waste, fraud and abuse were also identified, including $64 billion wasted on fraudulent paycheck protection claims by “fraudsters and criminals” – and $191 billion of taxpayer dollars wasted on fraudulent unemployment claims. Both federal and state governments lacked any mechanisms to alert or prevent widespread financial abuses as billions were being allocated from the Biden Administration with little to no oversight.

“Federal and state governments had significant lapses in coordination, were unprepared to oversee the allocation of COVID-19 relief funds, and failed to sufficiently identify waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars during the pandemic.”

Fauci remains a controversial figure and is blamed for implementing mandates and guidelines that were not based on scientific evidence, while at the same time abusing his power during the pandemic. In 2020 – the year of the pandemic, Dr. Fauci and his wife, who also earned a federal government salary, earned over $868,000 in income and compensation – making him the highest paid official in the federal government.

President Joe Biden and his team are considering granting Fauci a pre-emptive full pardon in lieu of this report and the recent election of President Donald Trump – who has vowed to root out corruption and hold officials like Fauci accountable for their actions during the pandemic.
