The Only Citizens Vote bus tour stopped Monday at Rivals Sports Bar in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Speakers included Tea Party Patriots founder Jenny Beth Martin and Wisconsin Congressman Bryan Steil, who urged Congress to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act.
The tour continues today, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with a scheduled stop in Orland Park, Illinois. The bus will be at Crescent Park, 9705 W. 143rd Street, from 4 to 5 p.m.
According to Tea Party Patriots Action, the tour is a grassroots effort aimed at building support for the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. The group says the measure is necessary to prevent noncitizens from registering through loopholes and weak verification systems.
The tour is making stops across several states through September to rally support and put pressure on lawmakers to advance the bill.
