In McHenry County, a storm is brewing inside the Republican Party – not against Democrats, but against one of its own. Jacqueline Garretson, a proud precinct committeewoman, conservative activist, and unapologetic supporter of President Donald Trump, is under attack from within her own ranks.
Garretson has dedicated years of service to expanding the conservative movement in Illinois. She volunteers tirelessly – knocking on doors, organizing events, and raising funds to elect Republicans who actually stand for Republican values. She has become a trusted voice for the grassroots, a leader unafraid to challenge corruption or cowardice — no matter which side of the aisle it comes from.
But that honesty has made her a target.
Now, RINOs inside the McHenry Township Republican Organization are reportedly moving to remove Garretson from her elected position as precinct committeewoman. Her so-called “offense?” Speaking truth and calling out fake Republicans who use the GOP label but push Democrat-lite policies once in power.

This isn’t just an attack on one woman – it’s an attack on the entire grassroots conservative movement.
Garretson’s fight mirrors a broader pattern happening across Illinois, where establishment insiders have tried to muzzle anyone who dares to question their grip on power. Illinois Republican leaders have even attempted to silence Illinois Review – the largest conservative news publication in the state, known for exposing corruption, holding politicians accountable, and giving a voice to the forgotten Republican base.
Illinois Review has been shared by President Donald Trump himself on Truth Social – a testament to its reach and credibility among real conservatives. Yet instead of embracing this powerful platform, party insiders tried to shut it down, block it from events, and cut off communication – all because it refused to play along with their backroom politics.
This type of censorship is something Americans expect from dictators like Vladimir Putin, Nicolas Maduro, Kim Jong-Un, and Xi Jinping – not from Republican leaders in the Land of Lincoln. In those regimes, anyone who challenges authority is silenced, punished, and jailed. Now, that same authoritarian mindset is creeping into the Illinois GOP.
The move to remove Garretson – and to silence Illinois Review – is nothing short of an assault on the First Amendment. It sends a chilling message: if you speak out, if you expose hypocrisy, if you stand with President Trump and the MAGA movement, you’ll be targeted.
Grassroots conservatives in McHenry County see what’s happening, and they’re not fooled. They know that Garretson’s real “crime” is refusing to bow to establishment pressure. They know she represents a new generation of Republicans – bold, patriotic, and fiercely loyal to America First values.
If the McHenry Township Republican Organization follows through with its plan to remove her, it won’t just be ousting a precinct leader – it will be signaling to every patriot in Illinois that free speech and conservative conviction are no longer welcome.
But history has shown that attempts to silence the truth only make it louder. Just ask Donald Trump.
