LEBANON, IL – Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is endorsing State Senator Kyle McCarter for the Illinois 15th Congressional District race.

ALIPAC said they are endorsing McCarter because of his support for America's existing border and immigration laws, and his opposition to any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants.

“I am honored to be recognized by ALIPAC for taking a stand for legal immigration and defending the American worker,” said McCarter.

In a press release to media outlets Tuesday, the organization criticized McCarter’s opponent – Congressman John Shimkus – for his failures on the immigration issue.

ALIPAC cited Shimkus’ recent vote in December 2015 to, ‘fund Obama's dangerous Muslim and illegal alien resettlement programs, Sanctuary Cities for illegals, EIC tax refund credits for illegals, and Obama's unconstitutional amnesty orders that 26 states are suing to stop!’

“Voters must insist on legal immigration only. We are a nation of laws and we must take control our borders” said McCarter. “Not knowing who is crossing our borders or failing to uphold our immigration laws jeopardizes our sovereignty as a free nation, threatens the safety of Americans and unfairly burdens taxpayers. Establishment politicians from each party favor ‘open borders’ because of the prospect of cheaper labor and future voters. Amnesty is not an option.”
