NEW JERSEY - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is on the "Trump for President" wagon. Politico is reporting:
The New Jersey governor said he met with Trump on Thursday morning. “Yesterday morning I met with Donald, we sat and talked, and he said, 'How about coming out on the road to Texas with me?', and I said, 'Happy to do it, whenever you’re ready, sir.' So we did it, and that’s how the process went," he explained.
Christie said he could "guarantee you that the one person that Hillary and Bill Clinton do not want to see on that stage is Donald Trump," remarking that the Clintons "do not know the playbook of Donald Trump because he is rewriting the playbook.
Christie dropped his own bid earlier this month. The endorsement likely puts him on a short list to be Trump's VP of he wins the nomination.
Let’s make a deal!! What do you think it was?? Christie the next Attorney General??
Come on. An obnoxious New Yorker and an obnoxious New Jersey guy. We can do better than these 2 buffoons.
Christie finished in 10th place in the Iowa Caucus with only 1.8 percent. He finished in 5th place in New Hampshire with 7.4 percent running 3 percent behind Rubio who had his worst debate performance before that vote. So Christie never caught on with voters even after he went after Rubio and was forced to drop out before South Carolina. The news media elite including Fox News all live in New York City and they still think that Christie is a big deal just because he is in the New York media market. But the rest of the country does not care much about Christie and that is why I think his endorsement of Trump does not carry much weight either for or against Trump. In fact, endorsements in general mean much less today than ever before because people form their own opinions from TV about each candidate. The endorsement by Christie of Trump does not hurt Trump but it also does not help him much either.
Nice picture!
“THA-THA-THA-THAT’S ALL, FOLKS!”
What is this “Boardwalk Empire” or “The Sopranos” playing out across the USA?
Trump will make Warren G. Harding look great by comparison. Christie will have to work on his William Howard Taft impression.
Trump needs to choose a VP with some military experience and a little foreign policy experience wouldn’t hurt
Buffoon? Real buffoons-one is a self-made billionaire and the other an accomplished prosecutor and Governor. If these two are buffoons you must be a drooling idiot!
True, but as far as it not helping I would qualify that comment by saying that the specific endorsement does not help much in terms of “weight” (no pun intended) it carries, but it does contribute to a sense of momentum generally.
I would say that at this point you are about 85% correct. If Trump performs as well as expected on Super Tuesday, that figure rises to about 92%.
