The Powerline blog is writing about 16 Republican U.S. Senators who last week blocked Senator Mike Lee’s amendment to defund AFFH (affirmatively furthering fair housing), the Obama administration regulation through which the left seeks to force high-density housing on unwilling cities and towns and to let federal bureaucrats decide the racial, ethnic, and income balance of local communities.
Illinois' U.S. Senator Mark Kirk was one of those U.S. Senators who signed onto the most radical agenda item of President Obama's second term. He was joined by:
- Lamar Alexander
- Kelly Ayotte
- Roy Blunt
- Richard Burr
- Dan Coats
- Thad Cochran
- Susan Collins
- Lindsey Graham
- Orrin Hatch
- John Hoeven
- Johnny Isakson
- John McCain
- Lisa Murkowski
- Rob Portman
- Thom Tillis
Kirk, Graham, Hatch, Alexander, McCain….
Looks like a “Who’s Who list” of the GOP’s left wing.
Wow. You can thank a good portion of the GOP for the destruction of your neighborhoods.
Senator Mark Kirk 202-224-2854
Let his staff know what you think.
These 16 should be ashamed of themselves.
We continue to allow the behavior of so called Republicans by reelecting them. Will we ever learn here in the land of Lincoln?
Give this RINO his marching papers in November and insist that each and every elected from this point further vote and lead by the will of the people of Illinois!
If he decides he knows what is best for us, more then we do that would be the first indication that he is no longer leading by our will.
No more king senators. No more king Representatives. No more king Governors. No more. This year is the year we start changing things. No more settling.
Take your power back Illinois!
Another thing to change would be to take Dick Durbin out of his finely contured sentorial seat. That is as nice as I can put it.
Yet again, this is why I am willing to support only conservatives in Congress; the Senate run by 54 Republicans can inflict just as much damage as 54 Democrats. We would be better off with 35 solid conservatives in the minority willing to fight than our current majority. This is par for the course.
So he intends to outplay and out poll Tammy Duckworth by becoming Tammy Duckworth?
Here’s more proof that no conservative should vote for Sen. Kirk. Chad Koppie, of the Constitution Party, thinks that the liberal vote will split, among Kirk, Duckworth, and Scott Summers (of the Green Party), helping Chad win with 25%.
Yes, that has always been his goal.
He looks at things purely politically. This is a Blue state and becomes ever more so as its 3rd world population takes over.
Chad, keep on dreamin’.
There is ONE way to get rid of Mark Kirk: UNDER-VOTE him.
Yes, that would put Tammy in the senate for six years, but what, if anything, is the difference between Kirk and Tammy?
With Kirk permanently out of the way, a strong CONSERVATIVE Republican candidate will arise in those six years to challenge and defeat Tammy.
But they are not.
Instead they are laughing at us, laughing the loudest at those who continually vote for them.
