WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mark Kirk notified his Illinois constituents via Twitter this week that he's parting yet once again with his Republican colleagues, this time to side with gun control advocates.

Kirk believes if you're on the no-fly list, you shouldn't be able to buy a gun, he said.

Wonder if he would have said that to the late Senator Ted Kennedy, Congressman John Lewis, singer Cat Stevens, CNN's Drew Griffin and Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard? They were all at one time or another on the no-fly list.

And it's nearly impossible to get a name off the list once it's on. Certainly Senator Kirk's staff told him all about that.

  1. If you believe more gun control by our totalitarian government is going to save lives, you are being naïve. The champions of mass killings in this world has always been a tyrannical government. Like our chomping at the bit fascist federal govt that can’t wait to declare unconstitutional martial law.

  2. No Fly-No Buy is the first of many unconstitutional laws (as you know many more Repubs will vote for this) that will take away our rights without due process. Remember, DHS Secretary said last week that right wing groups are just as dangerous as ISIS. That means it is just as easy for the unelected bureaucrats to put “right wingers” on the watch list as it is for the islamo-nazi terrorists.
