Politico's Natasha Korecki's Twitter feed Monday features a photo of Governor Rauner backstage with rocker Alice Cooper Sunday night at the Prairie State Convention Center. Rauner posed not only with Cooper, but House MInority Leader Jim Durkin (to Rauner's left) and former IL GOP Chairman Pat Brady (far right in photo, not in politics).
Rauner and buds "Spent the Night with Alice Cooper" and he didn't just pose for the photo. Others in the audience verified he was in the crowd.
And audience members recognized the gov, including Patty Eddington:
So did another …
Have to wonder if the battle-worn Governor didn't especially like Cooper's opening number "Brutal Planet"
We're spinning round on this ball of hate
There's no parole, there's no great escape
We're sentenced here until the end of days
And then my brother there's a price to pay
We're only human, we were born to die
Without the benefit of reason why
We live for pleasure to be satisfied
And now it's over there's no place to hide
Why don't you, come down to
It's such a brutal planet
It's such an ugly world
Why won't you, come down to
As a fan posted on Facebook from the same concert tour a few days before:
It’s pretty pathetic that the most conservative person in the picture is Alice Cooper, pathetic.
Why the Hell is that failed GOP Party Chair Brady even in the picture?
I thought he was taller. Loved him in Wayne’s World, Cooper that is not Rauner. I believe Cooper leans conservative so this is good news hanging out with a rock star.
Maybe Rauner will get a pic at some of the upcoming Wrigley Field concerts including Billy Joel, Zack Brown, Backstreet Boys, Jimmy Buffet or even Lady Gaga.
Alice Cooper is still an amazing live act and still putting out really great albums (new album out in a few months) That guy still has it!
What a bunch of worthless fools.
This is the same Bruce Rauner who said he was much to busy working on the budget to go to Trump’s inauguration. Still hasn’t submitted a budget (he’s over 2 years overdue) but he does have time to hang out with other wastes of space like Jim Durkin and Pat Brady.
