GOP Congressman Kinzinger joins Democrat call for special prosecutor

WASHINGTON DC – One GOP member of the Illinois congressional delegation is climbing on the Democrats' call for special prosecutor to investigate possible ties between President Donald Trump and the Russians. 

Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-16) was never a big fan of Trump, but in an interview with the anti-Trump CNN network, Kinzinger wasn't shy about his distrust of the White House. Specifically, Kinzinger told CNN he was concerned about reports of fired FBI Director James Comey's memo allegedly recalling the president asked him to conclude investigating General Flynn:

  1. Kinzinger is all wrong. Since November of 2016, the Democrats have been promoting this unsupported narrative and have yet to produce anything. Rumors and innuendos are not hard facts admissible in evidence.

  2. Maybe it’s not pleasant news, but its news and Illinois conservatives in the 16th District should be aware. If they re-elect Kinzinger without expressing some sort of dissatisfaction beforehand, they’re complicit in Kinzinger’s behavior.
