Brady appoints Syverson to Deputy GOP Leader spot

linois Republican Senate leader, Bill Brady, announced on Wednesday that State Senator, Dave Syverson, has been promoted to Deputy Republican Leader.
 
Dave has been widely recognized for his common-sense approach to improving Illinois' jobs climate. One accomplishment is creating the Illinois Manufacturing Caucus. The objective of the caucus is to bring more focus on the importance of the manufacturing industry in Illinois.
 
Brady issued the following statement: "I've had the pleasure of working with Dave Syverson for more than fifteen years and there is no one more qualified to serve as Deputy Leader. Dave is a veteran lawmaker who is widely recognized for his common-sense approach to improving the state's jobs climate. His experience, particularly on economic issues, will be invaluable in the coming year."
 
Regarding his new position, Syverson said, "It's an honor to be selected. I'm pleased to have Leader Brady's confidence and look forward to serving in this new capacity. Illinois is facing tremendous challenges and I anticipate working closely with the Leader to tackle these important issues."
 
This new role comes with NO SALARY INCREASE for taxpayers to fund.
