CHICAGO – Democrat gubernatorial candidate JB Pritzker will veto any attempt to repeal the taxpayer funding of abortion, he said Monday.

Of course that's what he said. He's been endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

Despite the fact every Illinois voter knows well it would take an earth-shaking miracle for a repeal to make it through Illinois' Planned Parenthood-controlled Democrat majority, JB Pritzker reaffirmed his commitment to unlimited abortion in a statement.

A 3-alarm is sounded with this statement on Pritzker's website Monday: Unlimited abortion is threatened!

Chicago, IL – Reproductive rights are in imminent danger if Republicans get their way. On Friday, Sam McCann filed a bill in the General Assembly to repeal HB 40 and “return provisions that would bring Illinois in line with federal law in the event that Roe v. Wade is overturned.”

At the same time, Donald Trump and Bruce Rauner are fully supporting a radical Supreme Court nominee who could overturn Roe v. Wade. Months ago, JB Pritzker signed Personal PAC’s pledge to uphold HB 40 as governor while Rauner refused, and he opposes Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the nation’s highest court. So, will Rauner join JB in vowing to veto this HB 40 repeal?

“Unlike Bruce Rauner who waffled on HB 40 and supports a Supreme Court nominee who could overturn Roe v. Wade, JB Pritzker has always stood up for a woman’s right to choose and will fiercely defend that right as governor,” said Pritzker campaign communications director Galia Slayen. “JB opposes this draconian rollback of reproductive rights and would veto an HB 40 repeal if it reached his desk — but the question remains: will Rauner join him or will this failed governor abandon Illinois women once again?”

One wonders what Republican Governor Bruce Rauner thought when he learned about Planned Parenthood siding with his opponent Pritzker. After all, didn't he and his wife give abortion lobbying groups big financial donations over the years, and didn't he sign into law a measure forcing Illinois taxpayers to pay for abortions? What more could they want?

Planned Parenthood admitted they were very happy with Rauner signing HB 40 – despite the provision being in direct contradiction with the Illinois Republican Party's platform?

Here's what Planned Parenthood said in their Rauner endorsement:

Yes, Bruce Rauner did sign landmark legislation that protects access to safe and legal abortion in Illinois. But, he did so only after flip- flopping back and forth on the issue. We need a leader who will be unwavering in his commitment to reproductive rights, not someone who equivocates.

Oh. One can't equivocate about paying for the killing of thousands of unborn babies to get Planned Parenthood's backing – and Governor Rauner wavered.
