Former GOP Congressman Joe Walsh (IL-08) announced Tuesday night that he pulled a Democrat ballot in Illinois' primary to vote for Joe Biden.

Walsh, who hosted a talk show on Chicago's 560 AM for several years posing as a conservative, also attempted to challenge Donald Trump as a Republican candidate. He has not appeared on any state primary ballot despite his intentions – and his campaign never gained a foothold.

It's clear in his comments that Walsh's hatred of Trump steered his electoral efforts – and so much so that he chose to support former Vice President Joe Biden rather than vote for any Republicans down the ballot.

"I did it because I think Donald Trump is a unique & dangerous threat to this country," Walsh wrote. He accused Trump of lying about everything, including the COVID-19 virus:

  1. What a total, complete, L-O-S-E-R. I cannot believe I once had dinner with the jerk.
But is you look at his history Joe always was a faux conservative with no long running principles except idolization of self.

  2. In tim4=e of Rauner his wife jointed the Republican Baby killer.
Now Rauner is gone. He Joins the Democrat Baby killer.
Not all Republicans and Democrats are Baby Killers.

  3. I omitted to say that Walsh couldn’t vote for himself against Trump because Walsh the loser failed to qualify for the ballot in his home state of Illinois.
Think about it. A former Illinois Congressman could not collect sufficient petitions to file for the presidency in his home state. That’s incompetence.

  4. So, the remaining question is who had been financially backing him. How did he get that slot on 560am? His show, well, it sucked and always did. I mean it was syndicated and in multiple cities. There is a lot of competition out there and Walsh’s show was 4th tier at best (I mean that seriously, not as a jab)so he must have had a backer, I cannot believe that train wreck actually had the rating to justify its time slot.
Where did this guy get his money from? Is his wife wealthy? Joe’s career was one wash out failure after another. Yet he gets a large home and a radio show that logically could not have been lucrative. Anyone know?
