SPRINGFIELD – Parents concerned about the state demanding yet another vaccination series made a trip to Springfield and found a opposed bill's sponsor had manuevered her proposal into a different committee and the scheduled hearing had been canceled.
And the thousands of witness slips filed online were no longer relevant.
State Rep. Robyn Gabel (D-Evanston), the sponsor of HB 4870 requiring 6th grade boys and girls to get the 3-shot HPV vaccine, moved her bill to be heard in a committee she chairs.
