The Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling in June striking down a Louisiana law regulating abortion clinics is proof of what’s at stake with the federal judiciary, Vice President Mike Pence said Thursday in remarks at a pro-life event.
President Donald Trump has been able to appoint and win Senate confirmation for more than 200 federal judges, including two Supreme Court justices, Pence said during remarks at Christ Baptist Church here.
Trump couldn’t have done it without the help of senators such as Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., he told the local crowd.
“This rising generation is the pro-life generation,” Pence said of young Americans.
