‘No-Show’ Hoffenberg Skips Second Public Event as Influential Local Democrats Turn on Her Amid Kiss Cam Fallout

As Kiss Cam Scandal Grows, Lemont Dems Feature Hoffenberg as ‘Special Guest’ at Voter Event

It has been a very long time since I have been impressed by the bravery and patriotism of a Democrat, but Democrat US Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia has reminded me that there still are a few Democrats that are brave patriots that put our great republic ahead of politics. Even though he is being viciously attacked by his fellow Democrats, Senator Joe Manchin publicly announced that he will vote against the Democrat’s HR1 voter bill that takes away state’s rights regarding election laws and which Senator Manchin says “Will destroy the already weakening binds of our democracy."

He also announced that he will vote against any attempt by Democrats to “abolish the filibuster” which Senator Manchin believes would also destroy our great republic and lead to a one party dictatorship. The filibuster was originally designed to force both parties to seek compromise instead of letting one party rule. As Senator Manchin explained his decision to vote against ending the filibuster he said, “It has been said by much wiser people than me that absolute power corrupts absolutely”. The filibuster limits the power of the majority party of the Senate and the House and forces them to work with the other party to look for compromise that benefits a majority of Americans.

Senator Joe Manchin is already being widely attacked by his fellow Democrats, the “Fake News”, and by the liberally biased “Big Tech” tyranny for his brave position putting our country ahead of the Democrat Party’s attempt to gain total control of our government which would destroy the very bi-partisanship that made our country so successful, prosperous, and powerful. Senator Manchin has been saying for weeks that he would not support these Democrat attempts to control our country, but now he is bravely saying that he will definitely vote against both of them. Senator Manchin has also tried to explain to his fellow Democrats that “What goes around comes around”! While Democrats may today control the House by a slim majority and the Senate with just one vote counting the VP, one day Republicans will control the House and Senate and if the Democrats destroy the filibuster to get their way today, they will lose all their power and influence if the filibuster is eliminated and Republicans win the House and  Senate. As Senator Manchin said, “Well what I have seen in my time in Washington is that every party in power will always want to exercise absolute power, absolutely”. That folks is why the filibuster was invented to insure bipartisan cooperation to seek compromise and pull the American people together, not apart!

A quick side note, not only is Senator Manchin brave to say he will vote against the Dem’s HR1 voting law that would make voter ID’s illegal, Rasmussen Reports did a poll in March 2021 in which 75% of Americans said that they favor voter IDs to protect voting integrity. So not only is Senator Manchin a brave patriot regarding his commitment to vote against the Dem’s HR1 bill, 75% of Americans agree with him. Taking away state’s rights regarding voting rules also destroys a balanced approach on election integrity which is critical for the voter’s confidence in our republic.

Hats off to Democrat Senator Manchin for his bravery and his commitment to our great republic at this critical time in our history!
