There’s an important election coming up this April Fools Day on April 1, 2025 in the great state of Wisconsin for the State Supreme Court. Brad Schimell (R) is running against Susan Crawford (D) for the open seat.

Currently there’s a 4-3 Democratic majority. If Crawford wins, the supreme court remains Democratic and that will not be good for Wisconsin, or the rest of America for that matter.

Let’s not have April Fools happen in Wisconsin!

One illustration is from five years ago during the dark days of Covid. Both Wisconsin and Illinois were shut down per the orders of the Democrat governors of both states

However, the WI supreme court overruled Gov. Tony Evers’ (D) decision to keep things shut down. This of course did not happen in Illinois.

The makeup of the supreme court at that time was 4-3 Republican – but went 4-3 Democrat in 2023. Since this time, there’s been some radical changes which will not be good if this continues.

As a result of Wisconsin opening up, the southern region of WI saw normal economic activity as people went there to enjoy freedom. Restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions like the Dells did well because normal economic activity prevailed versus the sad state of Illinois which continues to see a decline.

Recently I attended an event for Schimel where I mentioned the actions of the Republican-led Wisconsin supreme court during the pandemic, which allowed for normal economic activity in contrast with Illinois. Schimel mentioned that Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker enjoyed parties at restaurants, rides in boats and activities that he ordered closed in Illinois!

As is the case with all elections, if one stays home on Election Day, don’t complain! Get out to vote and bring ten of your patriotic friends with you!
