The newly released Epstein files are once again shaking the foundations of America’s elite – and this time, the fallout lands squarely at the doorstep of Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.

Documents show a deeply troubling, years-long relationship between billionaire Thomas J. Pritzker – JB’s cousin, Executive Chairman of Hyatt Hotels and head of the Pritzker Organization – and the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This isn’t speculation. It’s spelled out in emails, meeting logs, and detailed correspondence showing that Thomas maintained an ongoing relationship with Epstein long after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for crimes involving a minor.

This wasn’t a passing interaction or a brief business engagement. It was a pattern – one that mirrors the same behavior that destroyed the public life of Prince Andrew.

Prince Andrew’s downfall began the same way: a wealthy, powerful man insisting his relationship with Epstein was harmless, even as evidence mounted. Eventually, the British Royal Family was forced to cut him loose. His military titles were stripped. His public role ended. He became a global symbol of what happens when elites cozy up to predators.

Now the Pritzker empire faces its own reckoning.

Thomas Pritzker is not a minor figure in JB Pritzker’s orbit. He sits at the absolute center of the family’s power structure – Chairman of Hyatt, leader of the family’s investment firm, and a defining force behind one of the wealthiest dynasties in the country. And unlike Prince Andrew’s situation, this scandal does not occur in isolation. It directly intersects with JB’s own political world.

Illinois Review has already revealed that individuals connected to JB Pritzker’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign actively solicited Jeffrey Epstein for a campaign contribution – after Epstein’s conviction. That solicitation alone shows a disturbing lack of judgment, one that voters deserve answers about.

When combined with the now-public intimacy between Epstein and Thomas Pritzker, the ethical cloud hanging over JB’s political operation only grows darker.

Gov. Pritzker has never hesitated to moralize about ethics, accountability, and “protecting our values.” He routinely lectures political opponents about integrity. Well, now Illinois families are asking a simple question:

Will JB Pritzker hold his own family to the standard he demands of everyone else?

Thomas Pritzker is still Executive Chairman of Hyatt and still leads the Pritzker Organization. He holds immense influence over the family fortune that has fueled JB’s rise.

If Governor Pritzker truly believes in transparency and accountability, he must call on his cousin to resign immediately from all leadership roles until a full investigation is completed.

Prince Andrew’s scandal consumed the British Royal Family because leaders failed to act early.

Illinois cannot afford that same mistake. JB Pritzker must show that no one – not even a powerful cousin – is above accountability.

Illinois families deserve nothing less.
