WHEATON – The national electoral spotlight is on DuPage County-centered 6th Congressional District, the New York Times says. The "well-educated district that swung 15 points toward Hillary Clinton" in the 2016 president election is being viewed as a bellwether race.
The race between Republican incumbent Peter Roskam and his Democrat challenger Sean Casten is very, very close – one percent in favor of Roskam, the NYT poll shows.
"Most experts consider this race a tossup," the NYT writes. "Neither side needs to win any particular tossup to win control, but the party that wins the most will probably take the House. Our poll result is about what was expected."
Poll findings are in the New York Times.
Time for Roskam to actually start going door to door in person and doing the hosted coffee circuit and acting like he wants the job verses is entitled.
Good number for Roskam. Casten has a ceiling.
Rosakam is in trouble and his core is not with him, this time around. He as pissed off to many republicans.
Everything that comes out of Casten’s mouth is incredibly stupid. Must be Joe Biden’s love child.
Would this race have become such a nail biter if Roskam had ever exerted a spine on the issue of illegal immigration – and if he hadn’t been regularly promoting more importation of immigrant labor under H1-B visas?
The GOP base doesn’t get excited over weasels.
