Over 1.5 million families have pledged to stop shopping at Target since it announced it would allow men to enter women’s dressing rooms and bathrooms, putting women and children in danger of sexual assault.
American Family Association has stated since the boycott began that their families' worries do not stem from fear of the transgender community, but rather from the very real threat that predators and voyeurs, or anyone with evil intentions, would take advantage of the Target bathroom policy to harm women and children.
Now Target is on public record stating they fully and wholeheartedly support the passage of the Equality Act now before Congress. For opponents such as AFA, Target's support meaning it supports government-sanctioned discrimination against churches and Christian business owners.
The so-called "Equality Act" is a repackaged version of the Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA). This legislation has been driven for years by homosexual activist groups like Human Rights Campaign and is specifically designed to place sexual liberty above religious liberty and the First Amendment.
